John Breslin (contact john@technologyvoice.com) is a senior lecturer in the School of Engineering and Informatics, National University of Ireland, Galway, and co-leader of the Unit for Social Semantics at Insight, the world’s largest Semantic Web research institute based at NUI Galway. He is co-author of the book “The Social Semantic Web” (Springer, 2009). He is also the founder of the SIOC project (Wikipedia article), a Semantic Web framework which aims to interlink online communities with semantics. John has received a number of web awards, including two IIA Net Visionary awards in 2005 and 2006 for the websites boards.ie (Ireland’s largest community site, Wikipedia article) and adverts.ie respectively.
I like to write articles on emerging social software and Semantic Web developments. I also like to provide a window for readers to various technology conferences and events by writing reports on interesting keynote talks and invited speakers.
